Nursing Care
At The Rylands we have highly trained and dedicated staff who are on hand 24 hours, every day of the year to provide nursing and care support to our residents. We are able to care for people with a wide range of health needs from those who may need more care than can be properly provided in their own home, through to people with specialist nursing needs due to conditions such as Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease or multiple sclerosis. Whether convalescing after a major operation or requiring long term care, our qualified registered nurses, nursing assistants and carers will provide professional care to every resident in an attentive and respectful manner. Individual needs and preferences are always recognised and incorporated into detailed, personailised care plans reflecting the physical, intellectual and emotional needs of each and every resident. Within our home we embrace the balance between high quality nursing in an environment which remains homely and supports our residents to be as comfortable as possible. Our residents benefit from a bespoke care plan, tailored to their specific needs and supported by GP’s and specialist medical professionals.
Residential Care
Residential care is for residents who need some assistance with their daily activities, but don’t require intensive nursing care. Residential care includes the provision of nutrition, daily activities, housekeeping services, and 24-hour access to our professional care team. You may be considering residential care for yourself, or a loved one – here are the main reasons our residents choose residential care: Residential care isn’t just about the home – it’s about delivering care that improves the quality of life. At The Rylands we have an extensive range of activities led by our Activities Coordinator. We offer help and support with activities that range from personal hygiene to support at mealtimes, taking medications, getting dressed, taking a bath or going to the bathroom. Nursing Assistants and carers are available 24-hours a day, and nurses are on call should an emergency arise.
Respite and Day Care
Our respite and day care services provide expert care and assistance for a temporary period of time. We use personalised care plans to identify specific medical needs and requirements and to ensure that the respite resident receives the best quality of care. Our respite and day care residents benefit from the same amenities as our permanent residents, this includes our beautiful grounds and gardens, a wide selection of personalised activities, and healthy and home-cooked meals. Our day care services provide carers with a break from their usual care responsibilities. We provide high-quality day care services that allow you to relax while you’re away; with peace of mind knowing that your loved one is in great hands. We offer expert day care services in a professional and caring environment.
End of Life Care
We provide care for people who are nearing the end of their life but wish to remain in our caring, supportive and familiar environment. Also known as end of life care, palliative care provides active physical care, pain and symptom management, psychological, social, spiritual and practical support for individuals whose condition no longer respond to treatment. Our dedicated team works closely with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure that each person's individual wishes and preferences are respected at every stage. We focus on maintaining comfort and the best possible quality of life while offering reassurance and emotional support to loved ones. Our compassionate approach creates a peaceful environment where residents receive personalised care with kindness, respect, and understanding during this important time.
